But I stand by Apple for now, that they do have some "bigger" features they just aren't showing us....
What's the next logical step in a computer interface? I used to say "Computer, show me the money" to open Quicken back in pre-OS X days. More of a gimmick than anything else, but imagine if the Finder and maybe even other apps became "speakable."
Me: "Check mail"
Computer: "You have nine new messages. Would you like me to read them?"
Me: "No, thanks."
(clicks on an email, reads message)
Me: "Reply to this message"
Computer: "Type or speak?
Me: "Type"

Me: "Computer, I'd like to add a photo of the kids to this email."
Computer: "iphoto has 6,813 pictures of the kids, which one would you like?"
Me: "One from the birthday party last week."
Computer: (a strip from iphoto appears) "Here are 23 from last week. I've highlighted the one where your wife fixed the red eye. Is that the one you want?"
Me: "Yes, that will be fine."
Computer adds the picture to stationery in the email, other pictures go away.
Me: "Send the email"
Me: "...and order me a pizza."
This kind of thing can't be too far off. A 75 mhz Performa could do it in a rudimentary way. Imagine what a modern Mac may be able to do. "Speakeasy" has a nice ring to it.

I'm not saying this is fake but I work for AT&T Business Care for billing and some technical calls. We haven't been told this information yet so I don't see why that person would know. The only information we've been getting lately is the progress on AT&T buying T-Mobile.

Hmm, modal software. This used to be a very undesirable characteristic, a violation of the Mac interface guidelines. I don't see the problem with the way Pages handles layouts and word processing now. It sounds like Apple may be caving into the critics who want Pages to be more like Word. I hope not.

I saw one in the wild.
Employee at an AT&T store in Charlotte, NC had one last week when I stopped in to purchase a car charger. He said they are probably going to be out soon, but mentioned that he is having problems with the proximity sensor. he said the screen display is staying on when he is on calls and that his cheek/ear are activating display controls. Could it be an issue with the bright white reflecting too much light into the sensor?

Laser tracking is excellent. I use the Logitech MX1000 and it's perfect.
However, the real problem with the mighty mouse is not the technology, it's the materials. The plastic is too "sticky" to work with, so when moving the mouse the feeling is not smooth. They should change the substances to allow a better flow of the mouse on a given surface.

I dont know what people see in the Mighty Mouse, I tried one out in a local computer shop and found it VERY frustrating to use.

Just been on a business trip to Florida and stayed at a hotel in West Palm Beach. The car park and surrounding area were planted with these trees. I think they're banyan trees, a type of fig. Can anyone confirm or otherwise? At night it was lovely to stroll outside and listen to the insects chirping. The lights in the car park lit the trees from underneath giving them a very LOTR look! We were taking a big exhibition with us and everything was just on the limit weight-wise so I daren't even take a monopod, it was so close, so the camera was hand held for this photo. It's not sharp enough to enlarge but wanted to share the look of the place!

Wow, those are some BTO options once you get to the high end 21.5".
This is a very impressive upgrade. 16GB and 2 Drives in a 21.5" ? that's wonderful. This bodes very well for future Mac releases across the board. I really hope all of the kinks of the last 2 years are worked out.
Will watch very carefully > I'm really not wanting to get another iMac but I hope these kinds of upgrades will become common place. This would be the machine I'd get for work since video/web design etc. is becoming part of my duties, if my job 1) supported Mac use and 2) funded the darn thing.
C'mon Apple let's see these kinds of options for the Mac Mini (not everything but more RAM, two drives, separate GPU and thunderbolt would be sweet).

If I worked there I would have stopped it. The employees there handled that situation the wrong way. They should have at least separated the people fighting. They didn't do anything besides saying stop. What is that going to do?
Sadly, that's company policy. Had any of those people had a gun and an employee was shot or stabbed with a knife the company would have quite a lawsuit on their hands. If the employees intervened further they would likely have lost their jobs.
When I worked retail I was told I would be fired if I chased a shoplifter out of the store.
