You can walk-in and get FP done without any problems. I did it 2 weeks before the specified date (at another location) when I went there to the Boston office to accompany another person. Just showed the FP notice (for a different location) and they didn't ask anything.

Hi,
My friend got his H1 last year for 2007-2008 and came to US in DEC 2007, he works for IT company. However, since he has arrived he has not been placed on a project and so no pay stub has been generated. He has been on bench for 6 months.(technically without a job but has H1)
Is he out of status?
Can he show that he is on vacation till he gets a project?
Is there any other way?
Pls help.

1) If I work for a company A ,Can I get my Green card processed by Company B by future employer option
2) If so when do I have to leave company A or is there any way I can continue with Company A and get my GC processed through company B.

I don't think there are any adverse effects of updating them with correct address, I applied for 485 in July moved end of august and updated my address with them, All my Receipts and EAD and biometric were returned to them and they resent them to new address with a thank yo note for updating address.

My application is sent to NSC -> TSC -> VSC. I-485 is transferred back to TSC while AP and EAD are pending at VSC.

With not many 'easy' H1b cases anymore. This looks like another route for the 'attorney' to get more clients, selling fear!
I agree !! it is definitely bad news and many may end up spending more on a plastic card. more business for lawyers !!!
maybe guiness book of world records should have an entry for the costliest plastic card I just hope and pray that future generations have better options at home and in different countries and links such as these point out the hard truth that everyone needs to have a plan B - and be mobile and ready to move. (i.e. not get stuck with immovable assets).

I have both EB3 and EB2 labor approved and EB2 I-140 approved for the same job requirement in the same company. Here're some details:
labor PD : 03/2005 (EB3)
labor PD : 12/2006 (EB2),
I-140 approved (EB2)
I-485 Applied : 07/2007 with approved EB2 I-140
Is it possible to use my EB3�s PD for my EB2 application? If so, what�s the procedure.

My wife was also in the same situation. We hired a good Driving Violations lawyer. He reduced it to a no points 'Reckless Driving' ticket. It did increase our insurance premiums but no other effect.

but i can think of..
1) cancel the insurance
2) apply for another insurance effective from your return date, cancel the existing insurance.
3) take min liability only
4) see if they can suspend it for 2 months.

AR-11 is filed manually and mailed. Everyone will use 41 cents stamp.. No way to track it if its really done or not.. Its in your interest only if you've pending applciation where you expect any replies to your address...

It may be safer to apply EB3 than EB2, if you don't have a strong case.

My H1 will expire in early Jan 2011, so I practically have around 365 days from now to apply for a new Labor. My questions are
1. Should I re-appeal?
2. Do Labors get approved in re-appeal?
3. Can I start a new Labor application with the same employer simultaneously?
4. What�s a safe category to apply at this point in time. EB2 or EB3?

As you have said, try to prepare all documents to prove that your project will be lasting for 3 more years. That should help you getting a 3 year extension.

Congratulations - you have 90 days after it expires to renew it. Since you got your GC within 60 days, there is nothing to worry about. You must however talk to your HR with a copy of ur GC and update the I-9. But that is just for records and should there be an audit, you should be all set.
